The insurance industry has conditioned buyers to focus on reducing costs one day out of the year - the renewal date. Members of our exclusive and proprietary workers’ compensation process known as Intellicomp® realize it’s the other 364 days that make the difference.
Through a highly coordinated process, IntelliComp® members realize savings throughout the year and learn strategies and techniques that positively impact their business forever.
Our team, comprised of the following members, coordinates their efforts to drive down costs on a daily basis:
- Licensed Claims Adjuster
- Human Resource Professional
- Licensed Private Investigator
- Occupational Nurse
The IntelliComp® system focuses on the following five areas:
- Experience Modifier – Clients receive an extensive experience modifier review as part of their enrollment. This is where overpayment charges are often found.
- Hiring Practices - We provide our members a turnkey system to improve current hiring methods. This includes background checks prior to employment, hiring forms, and access to a wealth of hiring tips and guides.
- Back on the Job Program - Our system is designed to keep the injured worker involved in the business and not let them fall into the workers’ comp system "blackhole". Our Nurse Advocate stays in constant contact with the injured worker on behalf of the employer to show compassion and an eagerness to get the employee back on the job.
- Claims Management – Claims submitted to your carrier are micromanaged by our in-house licensed claims adjuster to assure the lowest claims costs. Our intense oversight of the process reduces the impact on your experience modifier, and dramatically lowers your final costs of insurance.
- Business Culture – To effectively handle today’s constantly changing business culture, our members have access to leading-edge human resource tools, strategies, forms, and checklists that are designed to increase employee productivity and help eliminate exposure to employee claims.
Workers’ Compensation is not typical insurance; your insurance company doesn’t pay your employees’ injuries, it merely finances them – and that will be reflected in your premium for years into the future. Slaton’s proprietary IntelliComp® program focuses on key areas of waste that can amount to tens of thousands of dollars in overcharges.
